An off-shoot of TAYO Philippines, a program implemented by the National Youth Commission, has now been introduced to the ASEAN platform through NYC Chairman and CEO Richard Alvin M. Nalupta which is concurrently the Chairman of the Committee on ASEAN Youth Cooperation (CAYC) |
| | The National Youth Commission is the primary policy making body for youth development attached to the Office of the President.
The NYC was established by virtue of RA 8044 - The Youth in Nation Building Act - which aims to provide the youth with opportunities to be an active partner in nation-building through youth programs and projects that will develop and harness their potentials and enable them to be of great service to their country and community.
The creation of new policies and advocacies for youth development also allows the NYC to push for reforms and the creation of new measures to implement better services for the youth and the communities. |
